Main Functions of the Ministry
Industrial Development
- Formulate and coordinate the implementation of policies and strategies for Industrial Development in the State of Sabah.
- Plan and coordinate the implementation of Industrial Development programs.
- Conduct studies and research related to Industrial Development.
Trade & Industry
- Coordinate, implement and monitor all activities related to the State’s interests in Trade and Industry.
- Plan and coordinate programs to enhance Industrial Infrastructure.
Entrepreneurship & Bumiputera Economic Development
- Plan and coordinate the implementation of Entrepreneurial Development Programs.
- Formulate and coordinate policies and strategies for Bumiputera Economic Development in the State of Sabah.
- Plan and coordinate the implementation of Bumiputera Economic Development programs in Sabah.
Downstream Industry
- Formulate and coordinate policies and strategies for the development of downstream industries, particularly industries based on Petroleum & Gas and Palm Oil.
- Plan and coordinate the implementation of downstream industry development programs, particularly those based on Petroleum & Gas and Palm Oil.
